The candidate will be responsible to conduct audits and prepare internal audit reports and assist in ad-hoc assignments as directed.

Requirements 
  • Experience in IT audit and compliance is preferred

Associate Vice President, Human Resources [HR/5/0001]

The candidate will be leading the Human Resource (HR) department and is responsible for the full HR functions including organization development, talent acquisition, compensation & benefits, employee & industrial relations, training & development and payroll.

Requirements 

  • Manages organisation development through workforce development, employee retention and succession planning
  • Oversees talent acquisition process, from sourcing to on-boarding of new hires
  • Ensures job requirements and descriptions are up-to-date
  • Helps to establish the organisation’s wage and salary structure and variable pay systems

Vice President, Business Operations [BO/4/0002]

The Business Operations (BO) department is responsible for both asset origination and conducting Sukūk issuances in the market as well as managing the distribution network for the IILM product offering. 

The candidate will be an integral part of BO and will be responsible for sourcing, originating, structuring and executing the asset transactions taking full ownership to ensure a pipeline of transactions including supporting the Shari’ah aspects of the transactions to fulfill the mandate. The candidate is also expected to perform any ad hoc duties given by management under BO for activities under the issuance team as well.

Requirements 

  • Strong understanding in asset origination, structuring, and execution in Islamic transaction
  • Ability to handle both internal and external stake holders such as shariah board, board members for approval, and dealing with trustees, custodians, lawyers and asset providers respectively
  • Book and monitor the asset portfolio ensuring all parameters are within the stipulated criteria of the programme
  • Ensure all procedures are followed with the highest level of integrity and honesty constantly reviewing and improving all aspects under asset team
  • Experience in handling rating agencies with strong understanding of their areas of concern and addressing them efficiently
  • Undertake ad-hoc projects in the issuance activities or initiatives to enhance the efficiency of the existing framework

Qualifications

Associate Vice President, Legal & Compliance [LC/5/001]

The candidate will be joining the Legal & Compliance team as an Associate Vice President and be responsible for providing legal support and advice on corporate and transactional matters, particularly those related to international capital market transactions. The candidate will ensure that the IILM complies with laws and regulations in the members’ countries, minimising legal risk, as well as providing legal advice to the IILM’s business.
 
Requirements
  • Manage ongoing legal obligations under the IILM Ṣukūk program, including Special Purpose Vehicles, listing requirements, ongoing disclosure, investor reporting
  • Manage legal relationships with all external parties under the program
  • Maintain/update policies & procedures
  • Handle HR legal aspects
  • Be the first contact point for external lawyers
  • Manage compliance, Know Your Customer, sanctions
  • Review external communications
  • Assist external counsel in any litigation
  • Support internal staff on legal issues
 
Qualifications
  • Bachelor of Laws (LLB) or Juris Doctor (JD) Degree, and must be qualified and authorized to practice law in Malaysia.

Associate, Issuance & Investor Relations [BO/6/0001]

The Issuance & Investor Relations (IIR) department is responsible for conducting Sukūk issuances in the market and managing the distribution network for the IILM product offering.

The candidate will be an integral part of the IIR team and will be responsible for providing technical support and performing other operational tasks such as data collection, production of figures, charts and statistical analysis, as well as developing business relationships with our investors.
 
 
Requirements
  • Understands the investment universe and assist the Issuance team to conduct Sukūk issuances
  • Perform market surveillance to assess the financial market environment through market reviews
  • Assess, collect, organise and manipulate financial data from internal and external sources
  • Participate in Islamic deposit management and liaise with the Settlement team
  • Undertake ad-hoc projects or initiatives to enhance the efficiency of the existing framework
  • Able to work independently and act responsibly, demonstrating a high standard of personal and professional ethics
